Tesla recalls more than 53 000 cars
22nd Feb 2022 | Manufacturing
Tesla recalled more than 53 000 cars to disable a feature in its so-called Full Self-Driving system that could cause the vehicle to roll through all-way stop intersections without coming to a complete stop.
Tesla has released an over-the-air software update that disables the "rolling stop" feature after discussions with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, according to a recall notice filed online by the agency.
The company is going to send letters to the owners. No accidents have been reported, Tesla told NHTSA.
Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
