Professional advisory firm PwC has appointed nine directors alongside a new partner in Wales and the south-west of England.
Born and educated in South Wales, new audit partner Stuart Couch joined as a director in September 2014, having been with the firm in London since 2001. He is based at the firm’s Cardiff office and provides assurance, accounting, treasury and due diligence support to mainly to start-ups, private equity and owner-managed businesses in the manufacturing, technology and life science sectors.
He is joined by the new directors, who will be based at either the firm’s Bristol or Cardiff offices in: Anton Horne (consulting) Emily Davis (global) Janet Fernihough (consulting) Katie Rimell (tax) Laura McSweeney (risk) Rhys Balcombe (tax) Stafford Moran (Audit), Cardiff-based Bruan Treharne (audit) and Lucy Stock (audit).
Mr Couch said: “I am delighted to be admitted to the partnership and I’m very excited about the opportunities in front of us. We have a fantastic group of people in our Bristol and Cardiff offices and our continuing investment in the region will ensure that we remain in the very best position to service new and existing clients, which is particularly important as many businesses try to recover from what has been a very challenging last 18 months or so.”
